Our Team
Nicholas Chu
Nick moved into employee benefits in 2008 after deciding an engineering career was not where he wanted to spend his life. He now combines analytical training with a people-first approach, helping employers understand complex plan designs, pricing, and funding methods in clear language. Clients value his calm, patient style, quick responses, and focus on what is genuinely in their best interest. Outside of work, Nick recharges through travel and time at the gym, with a favourite memory of sipping sake in a Japanese bathtub while watching the sun set over the mountains of Shikoku.
Principal
On joined BeneCare in April 2025, bringing more than 11 years of experience with both national and regional group benefits providers. Having worked on the carrier side, he understands how plans are priced, underwritten, and administered and uses that insight to advocate for employers. Clients appreciate his straightforward style, transparent advice, and steady support through renewals and plan changes. Away from the office, On enjoys time with his wife and two young daughters, often splitting weekends between experimenting with new pasta recipes in the kitchen and training for his next half-marathon.
